Photography 11/12 Class

Photography is an amazing artistic outlet for so many students and people around the world. To capture a moment in all it's glory is a special feeling. In my photography class we focus on how to create that moment more often. We start with Digital Photography so that students can practice with a form that allows them to produce as they learn. This tactic allows us to constantly recalibrate our skills. Once we understand how photography works we move into a Black and White Film unit where students get the chance to use chemicals, develop film and create prints. After that it's time to head back to the computer lab and invest time in Photo correction, where for two weeks we specialize in Camera Raw and Adobe Photoshop. To cap it all of we take our photos to the final level and make them tell a story for us. In our Photojournalism unit students create story lines with their images and practice real life field skills.
